NaikMotor – Motor matik adventure Honda X-ADV terpaksa harus di-recall di Eropa. Motor yang entah kapan masuk Indonesia ini harus ditarik lantaran adanya cacat pada sistem internal di bagian ECU.
Melansir Visordown, masalahnya berasal dari modul PPTC (Polymer Positive Temperature Coefficient) yang merupakan sekering internal yang dapat disetel ulang yang terletak di dalam ECU motor.
Ketika motor dikendarai dengan kecepatan rendah, PPTC bertendensi terlalu panas hingga bisa menyebabkan motor ‘lemas’. Bagian terburuknya motor jadi hilang power drastis dan motor mogok.
Model yang ditarik di Eropa merupakan produksi antara 6 Januari 2017 dan 4 Oktober 2018. Belum diketahui jumlah yang terdampak namun pemilik didesak untuk menghubungi bengkel untuk informasi lebih lanjut.(Agl/nm)
Pernyataan Recall Honda X-ADV:
“When the motorcycle is continuously ridden at low speed, the heat generated affects the PPTC (polymer positive temperature coefficient) device of the ECU and the motor cycle may enter into fail safe mode.
“This makes it impossible to shift gear and the driving force may be lost and it will not be possible to continue riding.”
It’s worth noting that we had an X-ADV as a long-term test bike from Honda earlier this year and had no issues with the bike at all, with Visodown editor, Alan Dowds saying:
“It’s actually a lot of fun to ride in town, the brakes are very good (twin radial four-potters up front ftw), and the BridgestoneTrail Wing tyres also work well round town, in the current hot dry conditions anyway. It handles well, and the only chassis woes come from the seat being just that bit too tall for me, so I can only really get one tiptoe down at a standstill.”
